Joe Gregory

Joe is another talented classmate from school. His murals and art reflect his interest in the photorealist tradition. This is a cropped view of one of his larger murals.

More Henry Koerner

Robert Qualters

Robert Qualters was a painting teacher I had in school and got to work with again later on his mural projects as assistant. I have much respect for him as a person and as an artist.

His work is often of and about the city of Pittsburgh. I hope to find more of his work to post here soon, because it surely speaks for itself.

Henry Koerner

Henry Koerner was a painter from Vienna who lived in Pittsburgh in his later years. I have a few books on him and saw his show at the Frick in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago.
I wish there were more publications with his work in color because I think that was one of the strongest elements to many of his works. This piece here was pretty large. I saw it years ago at the Carnegie Museum and it has stuck with me ever since.
